Surnames: Chapman, Seufer, Ivanhoff Source: Marshfield News-Herald (Marshfield, Wood Co., WI.) August 4, 1975 Chapman, Blanche (November 28, 1891 - August 2, 1975) Loyal – The Rev. Eugene Sprague, pastor at the Neillsville Assembly of God Church, will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Free Methodist Church in Loyal, for Mrs. Blanche Chapman, 83. She died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Neillsville Memorial Nursing Home, where she had been residing since 1971. Burial will follow in the Loyal City Cemetery. Visitation may be made at the Rinka Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today and at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. The former Blanche Seufer was born November 28, 1891, at Garden Grove, Iowa, and received her education at Walker, Minn. After her marriage to Rev. Leo James Chapman on August 25, 1919, at St. Paul, Minn. the couple lived in Aberdeen, S. D., for 24 years. They also lived at Spokeville and Viola Lake before coming to Neillsville in 1946. They lived in the Loyal area from 1952 until 1966. Her husband died in February 1966. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, L. J. (Bud) Chapman, Burlington, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Alex (Gladys) Ivanhoff, Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sisters also preceded her in death. The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Free Methodist Sunday School at Loyal.
