Snowberg, Helen Marion (28 Sept. 1917 – 13 Apr. 2004)

Helen Marion (Johnson) Snowberg, age 86 of Oshkosh, Wisconsin died on April 13, 2004 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. She was born on September 28, 1917 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Benjamin and Emma (Snowberg) Johnson. She attended school in Minneapolis, and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1936. She married John Edwin Snowberg of Unity, Wisconsin on May 28, 1938. Helen was a homemaker who joined with her husband in 1967 to take over ownership of the Gamble Store in Omro. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh from 1968 to the present.

She is survived by one son, Richard (Janice) Snowberg of La Crosse, Wis., two daughters, Karen Snowberg of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Jean (Rick) Duchrow of McFarland, Wis.; four grandchildren Eric (Jennifer) and David Snowberg, Jenny (David) Hull and Robert Holiday; two step grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kathleen Duchrow; two great grandchildren, Blaise Snowberg and Charles Hull; two step great grandchildren, Logan and Mary Hull. Her husband, her parents, two sisters, Edna and Florence and one brother, Carl preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 16 at 12:00 noon at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, with the Rev. Dave Skarsten officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials have been established at the Peace Lutheran Church and at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center.
