Obit: Clark, Datus A. (1863 – 1939)
Surnames: Clark, Lee, Sheldon Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 10/26/1939 Clark, Datus A. (26 Aug. 1863 – 21 Oct. 1939) Datus A. Clark of Unity died on Saturday night at 8:00 o’clock at his home in Unity at the age of 76 years, a heart ailment being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby where the body was lying in state. Rev. Harry Lee conducted the services and internment was made in the town of Brighton cemetery. Mr. Clark was born in Plymouth August 26th, 1863, and was married to Mabel Sheldon on May 24th, 1886. For the past fifty years he made his home in and near Unity and moved to the village about a year ago. Surviving are his wife and son, Jess Clark of Wausau. Three daughters preceded him in death. There are also five grand children and one great grand child.
