Surnames: Hein, Lang, Jakel, Aller, Frinak, Becker, Gutenberger, Wolf, Frane, Butler, LaSee, Heiman, Osterbrink, Mertens, Connor, Andrews, Gulynski, Werth, Shelly, Shelley, Meyer, Rieple ---Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 06/20/1940 Hein, Ruth Catherine (16 Apr. 1892 – 15 June 1940) Mrs. Henry Hein died at the Marshfield hospital at 6:55 o’clock Saturday evening at the age of 48 years, one month and 29 days, a sinus infection being the cause of her death. She had been ill two weeks. Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church Tuesday morning, Rev. L. J. Lang officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Louis Jakel, Matt Aller, Jr., John Frinak, Ed. Becker, Elroy Gutenberger and John Wolf. Those in charge of the flowers were Rita Gutenberger, Eileen Gutenberger, Betty Frane, Mary Becker, Marie Wolf and Mary Wolf. Mrs. Hein, nee Ruth Catherine Butler, was born April 16th, 1892, at Marshfield and came to Colby from Unity, when a little girl. She was married to Henry Hein on Sept. 3, 1919, and engaged in farming in the town of Colby. Surviving are her husband and seven children – Mrs. Norbert LaSee of Stratford and Paul, Charles, Elsie, Rita, Rose and Dennis, all at home. One daughter, Audrey, died three years ago. Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Butler, and one brother, Earl Butler, of Colby. The deceased was a member of the Lady Foresters and Christian Mothers’ Society. She was a good Christian, kind and gentle in all her ways, always endeavoring to work for the best interests of her family. Out of town relatives here for the funeral services were Mrs. Elizabeth Heiman of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Heiman of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Osterbrink and daughter, Grace, of Marathon City, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Butler of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Mertens of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Osterbrink of Marathon, Mrs. John Connor and Mrs. H. Osterbrink of Mosinee, Mrs. Anna Andrews and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gulynski of Thorp, Dave Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Werth and James Werth of Neweld, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Shelly, Cecil Shelley, Eli Butler and Mrs. Clif. Shelley of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hein and daughter, Patricia, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Hein and children, Ray, Marie, Eleanor, and Betty Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Meyer and children, Walter, George, Agnes and Gertrude, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hein and children, Phil, Jr., and Monica and Mr. and Mrs. Norbert LaSee of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Rieple of Rochester, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Hein and daughters, Mildred and Margaret, of Ringle.
