Surnames: Simek, Storek, Gault, Henseler Source: The Daily Herald (Wausau, Marathon County, Wis.) Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1978 Simek, Mary (15 Aug. 1890 - 23 Dec. 1978) Word has been received in Wausau of the death of Mrs. Mary Simek, 89, Neillsville, who died there Dec. 23. The former Mary Storek was born Aug. 15, 1890, in Czechoslovakia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Storek. She was married May 11, 1918, in Chicago, ILL., to Frank Simek, who died Jan. 7, 1968. After marriage the couple lived in Chicago, ILL, until 1928 when they moved to the Town of York, Clark County. They farmed there until 1937 when they moved to Neillsville. In 1967 Mrs. Simek moved to Wausau to live with her daughter. She moved to the nursing home in Neillsville in 1978. Survivors include a son, William, Neillsville; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Gault, Wausau; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville. The Rev. Joseph Henseler will officiate and burial will be in the Neillsville cemetary. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Georgas Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, and at the church Thursday morning prior to services. |
