Dallase, William O. (26 JAN 1865 – 16 MAY 1940)

William Otto Dallase passed away in his home at Globe in the town of Weston on Thursday, May 16th, at 3:30 P. M. His death was caused by strokes and he had been in ill health for nearly a year. He reached the age of 85 years, 2 months and 29 days.

The deceased was born in Germany, Jan 26, 1855, and came to the United States with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dallase, in the years 1884, settling in Watertown, Wis. Here he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Strelow, Dec. 16, 1999. To this union was born 7 children of which 2 preceded him in death during infancy. Surviving are his wife, and the following children: Mrs. Harry (Emma) Kelsey, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Arnold (Esther) Dudei, Mrs. Edgar (Hilda) King, Mr. William Dallase, Jr., and Mr. Edward Dallase, all of Neillsville. Eleven grand children which were all here at the time of his funeral, are also among the survivors.

Coming to Clark County 32 years ago, the deceased lived for twelve years on a farm in Heintown in the Town of York, known as the George Morse farm. Moving to the town of Weston he lived there until the time of his death. While living in the Town of York, Mr. and Mrs. Dallase celebrated their silver wedding. They celebrated their golden wedding the 16th day of December, 1938, at theie farm home near Globe.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 Sunday, May 19th, at the home and at the Globe Lutheran Church at 3:00 P.M. Burial was made in the Globe Cemetery.

Among those attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kelsey and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kelsey, St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dallase and daughter Florence, Mrs. Lotus Francisco, Mr. Robert Dallase and son Billy, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dallase, Ft. Atkinson. Mrs. Adolph Ambrose, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Prock, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. John Kronberger and LaVern, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. George Kronberger and daughter Agnes, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Seidelmann, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Bardell, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Noeldner, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Noeldner, Mr. and Mrs. John Goetz and daughter Florence all of Greenwood; and Mr. and Mrs. Gust Garbisch of Neillsville.

The pall bearers were Ben Bodwin, Leonard Schultz, Roland Kalsow, Edward Kalsow, Paul Hagedorn, and Ted Mitt.
