Monday; Nov. 14, 1988; Page 20 Gierl, David M. (Jan. 19, 1950 - Nov. 12, 1988) DAVID GIERL Abbotsford--David M. Gierl, 38, Athens, died Saturday morning in an auto accident. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. The Rev. Emil Hodnik will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Colby. Pallbearers will be Dan Bobbe, Ron Maldonis, Randy and Bob Kremsreiter, Mark Barnett, and Danny Hammel. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Klinkhammer, John Kelley, and Buck Colby. Memorials will be designated at a later date. Visitation will be at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, after 4 p.m. today. A rosary will be at 8 tonight at the funeral home. He was born Jan. 19, 1950, in Marshfield, to Morris and Caroline Gierl. He was a 1968 graduate of Abbotsford High School. For the past four years had been working as a bus driver for Bobbe Bus Service of Abbotsford. He was a member of the Abbotsford Sportsman's Club, the Whitetail Association, and the Chequamegon Bear Club. He is survived by his parents, Morris and Caroline Gierl, and three brothers, Robert of Rosemount, Minn., Donald of Kenosha, and Richard of Abbotsford. |
