(28 Jan. 1914 – 17 Nov. 2007) Clarence H. Heil COLBY -- Clarence H. Heil, 93, of Colby, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Maurina/Community Funeral Home in Colby. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be on Wednesday at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee. * * * * ---Source: Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wood Co., Wis.) Tuesday, November 20, 2007 Clarence Heil Clarence H. Heil, 93, of Colby, died Nov. 17, 2007, at Saint Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at the Community Funeral Home in Colby. The Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate. There will be a Colby VFW service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee on Nov. 21, 2007. Visitation with family and friends will be from 4 p.m. until time of services today at the funeral home. Clarence was born Jan. 28, 1914, in Milwaukee, the son of John and Ella (Hoffman) Heil. Clarence and Rella Halcro were united in marriage in June 1946 in Rhode Island. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy Seabees as a first class chief petty officer, and was a good friend of Adm. Chester Nimitz. He was stationed on Guam in the South Pacific. Clarence owned a construction excavating business and also owned an operated a trucking business in Sussex. He retired in 1972 and relocated to Unity where he went into farming and home building and remodeling. Clarence also worked in farm sales for Christenson Sales of Abbotsford. Survivors include his wife, Rella Heil of Arkansas; children: Carol Heil of New York, John Heil of Colby, Sandra Pribbs of Tennessee, Fredrick (Donna) Heil of Stratford and Jill Heil of Minneapolis; one brother, Erwin Heil of Milwaukee; one sister, Rose Closing of Milwaukee; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert Heil, and a brother. |
