Mohr, 78, Owen, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. * * * Source: Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wood Co., Wis.) December 24, 2005 Joan C. Mohr OWEN -- Joan C. Mohr, 78, Owen, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 27, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee. Burial will be in St. Peter's Evangelical Church Cemetery, town of Greenwood, Taylor County. The Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Joan was born Nov. 10, 1927, to Carl and Margerite (Knaup) Henrickson in Milwaukee. They moved to the town of Greenwood, Taylor County. She graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1945. After graduating, she went to work for the government in the Pentagon, doing office work during World War II. Joan and Ervin Mohr were married in 1947 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in the town of Greenwood. Joan retired from the Clark County Health Care Center in 1989. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ervin Mohr of Owen; three daughters, Cindy (Tony) Lopez of Arlington, Texas, Shelley Mohr of Owen and Wendy (Brian) Uphoff of Terra Ceia, Fla.; three granddaughters, Jamie Jensen of Texas, and Catherine and Christine Uphoff of Florida and two grandsons, Jordan (Lindsey) Jensen of Texas and Matthew Uphoff of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Terrance Mohr. Family members would like to thank friends, relatives, doctors and staff of Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield Clinic, Ministry Home Health Services, Ministry Home Care Hospice Services for their kindness and support. |
