Louis was born Nov. 28, 1904, in Dorchester, to Wolfgang and Anna (Skerbeck) Sebold. He graduated from Dorchester High School. Louis and Geraldine Herman were married Feb. 24, 1932, in Minneapolis. She died April 16, 2002. Louie worked with his brother Joe at Sebold Chevrolet for many years. In the early 1950s he started his own mink ranch business. In 1969, he became one of the first office personnel for Tombstone Pizza Corporation. He retired in 1975. Louis was the oldest member of St. Louis Catholic Church. He served on the Dorchester Village Board, Dorchester Fire Department, Dorchester Lions Club and was the Dorchester village assessor for many years.

Louie was an enthusiastic outdoorsman. He hunted, trapped and fished, and collected many big game trophies from the western states and Africa. He went on two African safaris. He was 85 years old when he went on his last safari to Botswana, where he collected many trophies that are listed in the safari club's record books. He was also an avid turkey hunter and hunted turkeys in Missouri long before they were in Wisconsin. He made the opening day of trout season on the Rib River for 70 years.

Louie will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two sons, D.
