May A. Ladd

MAY A. LADD Hobart, Indiana May A. Ladd, age 93, of Hobart, IN, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Sebo's Nursing Home, where she was a well loved resident for over 11 years.

She was born on May 1, 1913 in Neillsville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Robert and Barbara Chambers. May was married to Floyd Ladd on April 11, 1931. He preceded her in death in 1977. May was a clerk for the Goldblatt's Department Store. May was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, and a lifelong member of the Rebeccas.

May is survived by her loving family, daughters, Shirley Conners of Portage, IN. and Marian (Dennis) Robinson of Hobart, IN; grandchildren, David Thompson of Vista, CA, Donna (Bryon) Smith of Portage, IN, Lora Conners of Portage, IN, Cynthia (Tom) Bailey of Hobart, IN. and Christine (Todd) Gutzmer of Lake Station, IN: great grandchildren, Arron Thompson, Bryon, Kevin and Shanna Smith, Meghan Conners, Angela (Scott) Deal, Nicole Bailey, Jessica and Amelia Gutzmer; nephew, Steve (Joann) York; son-in-law, Glynn Rasmussen; and other loving family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd; daughter, Virginia Rasmussen; granddaughter Marlene Turner and sister, Elizabeth York.

A Visitation for May Ladd will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Ridge Road, Hobart, with a Service at 7:00 P.M.
