Flink, Elsie (1 Apr. 1885 – 12 Nov. 1942)

Mrs. August Flink died Thursday night at the age of 57 years at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Loretta Fuller, at Chicago after a several years’ illness caused by a heart ailment. The body was taken to the Flink farm home in the town of Brighton where funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock followed by a service at 2:00 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity. Burial was made in the Brighton cemetery. Rev. J. A. Olson officiated.

Mrs. Flink was born in Sweden in 1885 and came from Sweden to Rockford, Ill., with her parents when still a child. After her marriage to August Flink on Sept. 9th, 1908, Mr. and Mrs. Flink moved to Unity, and, in 1910, moved onto the present Flink farm. About a year ago they moved to Chicago but spent most of their time in Unity.

Surviving besides her husband are seven children, Mrs. Loretta Fuller and Walter, Lorraine, Malinda, Alice and Conrad Flink, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Beatrice Obernberger, on the home farm. Also a brother, Ed Peterson, of Unity. A daughter, Mrs. Neva Binning, preceded her in death.

*** Note: Mrs. Flink was buried in the Evangelical Trinity Lutheran (Scandinavian) Cemetery in Brighton Twp. Marathon County, Wisconsin.
