1st. Lt. and Mrs. Roy Feutz, stationed at Miami Beach, are at home on a 10-day leave. Mr. and Mrs. Feutz drove to Marshfield and met them at the depot Friday morning.

Our school will have its annual picnic next Saturday at the school grounds.

Some corn is planted but the weather continues too cool.

George Marshall is back working for Oliver Williams after his recent appendectomy.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Feutz drove to Barron, Wis., and spent Saturday with his brother, Lynn, and wife, returning Sunday morning to spend the day with both their mothers at his parents’.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Raine and son, Darrell and Isaac Higgins were Sunday guests at the Christ Feutz home.

There will be church services next Sunday evening with the Rev. G. W. Longenecker in charge.

The Henry Spiegel and Mrs. Lipky and son were Sunday supper guests at Alfred Spiegel’s.

Sgt. Emil Dusak spent part of last week visiting home folks, returning Saturday evening at Camp McCoy.

Mrs. Harry Kissling is at home convalescing after her tonsillectomy. She stayed with her aunt, Fanny Bue, in Neillsville three days.

Elmer Kapfer is working on the saw mill for Ed Hagie a few days while Gordon Hagie is nursing a crushed finer which was hurt while sawing. The mill is near Lindsey.

Mrs. Kapfer and son, Leo both had the stomach flu last week.

George Glass of Neillsville p** pered for the Florences Monday.

Mrs. Florence plans on entertaining the Ladies’ aid Thursday, May 20.

The Oliver Williams family was Sunday afternoon visitors at the Arthur Williams home.

Miss Lovella Fergusen, who is employed in the Parrish store in Neillsville, spent Sunday here with her parents.

William Buddinger family spent Sunday visiting her sister at Lynn and his parents, the Pete Buddinger, who moved to Granton recently.

The Millers returned from Madison Wednesday and are settled on their farm.

The Oens and Miller families spent Sunday at Chili visiting the Dow family.
