(10 Apr. 1890 – 23 Feb. 1944) Funeral services for Henry J. Hein, who died last week Wednesday morning at the age of 53, as reported last week, were held Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church at 9:30 A.M., Rev. L. J. Lang officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were George Allar, John Frinak, Louis Beyerl, Ernest Gierl, J. L. Steinwand and Math Allar. Mr. Hein was born on April 10, 1890, in Stratford and was married to Miss Ruth Butler on Sept. 3rd, 1919, in Colby. They made their home on a farm two miles southwest of Colby where he lived up to the time of his death. His wife died on June 15th, 1940. The deceased served in World War I and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Members of the family found him dead in bed at noon and death apparently was caused from a heart attack which he suffered several hours earlier. Surviving are seven children – Mrs. Norbert LaSee of Marshfield, Cpl. Paul Hein of Camp Gurber, Okla., Mrs. Clarence Kunze of Colby, Mrs. Ambrose Jicinsky of Stratford, and Charles, Rose and Dennis at home; five brothers, Phillip, Albert and Adam Hein of Stratford, John Hein of Schofield and Andrew Hein of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Peter Meyer of Stratford and Mrs. Rudolph Rieple of Omaha, Nebraska. Three grand children also survive.
