Longwood - Aug. 9, 1882

Last Sunday was the only hay day we have had for a week. Most of the farmers will lose a few tons of hay in consequence of the continued rains.

A donation for the benefit of C. C. Swartz, is to be held at the residence of T. J. Sheldon.

Longwood is now a money order office. Orders were issued for the first time on Monday the 7th of August.

Geo. F. Lantz was married, on Wednesday, to Miss Nellie McCarty, at the residence of the bride’s sister, Mrs. E. A. Eaton. May their wedding tour and their tour through life be as pleasant as their friends would wish it.
