Sammy sports a brand new mustache.

Wanted. – McGuire to keep his nose out of other people’s eyes.

E. W. Tilton, of St. Louis, registered at the Pettet House, Friday.

D. J. Spaulding was in town, Friday, looking after his business at this place.

Tom Cass, the Fond du Lac candy man, interviewed our merchants, Saturday.

Ed. Rossman, having finished his labors at J. W. Salter’s, left Saturday, for a visit home.

Misses Etta and Elsie Darling went to Stevens Point, Saturday, to see the great Barnum show.

Truman Ingalls came up from Mannville, Saturday, to visit his parents. He returned next day.

The Ladies’ Aid Society will meet at Mrs. E. T. Petrie’s, next Friday evening. A full attendance is desired.

B. G. Drummond, of the firm C. G. Drummond & Co., Janesville, represented that house here, Monday.

Miss Marion Burton arrived home, Friday last, from Neillsville where she had been visiting with her brother’s family.

Samuel Drake returned, Wednesday, from a two month’s spree in different parts of the state, and once more shows up wares for J. W. Salter.

The social event of the week, was a neck-tie party, at Odd Fellows Hall, last Wednesday evening. The party was gotten up by the ladies by special invitation. Some dozen couples tripped the “light fantastic” until the “wee sma’ hours” put in an appearance.

Died. – Boyer. Wednesday morning, August 25th, aged 1 year and 11 months, Willie, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. A. Boyer, of this place. The funeral was held, Friday, from the residence. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the community at large.

In spite of the prospect of rain, Sunday, the Unity nine got on their new harness, (which, by the way, looks very neat) and boarded the train for Mannville. The game was called at 1 o’clock.
