Surnames: Sadowski, Rumoniak, Deutschlander, Korczewski, Banaszynski Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 11/21/1940 Sadowski, Catherine (15 SEP 1869 – 12 NOV 1940) Funeral services were conducted by Father F.A. Kulig at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church Saturday morning for Mrs. Catherine Sadowski, who passed away Nov. 12, 1940, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, of heart disease. She had reached the age of 71 years, 1 month and 28 days. Catherine Rumoniak was born on Sept. 15, 1869, in Poland. She was married to Frank Sadowski their in 1891 and came to America with her husband in 1906. Mr. Sadowski died three years ago. The deceased leaves five children, two sons, Frank of Thorp and Leon of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Harriet Deutschlander of Thorp, Mrs. Joe Korczewski and Mrs. Pauline Banaszynski of Chicago, and seven grandchildren. The body lay in state until the time of the funeral, at the Bogumill Funeral Home where Rosary services were held on Thursday and Friday evening. Interment took place in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Sierociuk, Albert Penkala, Walter Juzwiak, Basil Harycki, John Zajaczkowski and Frank Prokopiak. |
