Withee - Nov. 19, 1892

Jack Bryden moved in camp, last week, three miles from Withee.

C. L. Coleman started in camp, last week, and on Thursday John Paul’s foreman, arrived in town and commenced building camps about three miles from town.

Weaver got two votes in this town, last week.

The Helms lumber, at Withee, will be sold to the highest bidder, on the 18th.

Miss Pearl Niles, of Manitowoc county, has returned to Withee to spend the winter with her uncle, W. S. Tufts.

W. S. Tufts has bought eleven more of the Spaulding horses making nineteen in all that he has bought this fall. W. S. has taken a large logging job of the N. H. Withee estate and has one camp in already.

G. W. Smith went to Boyd, last week, to visit his family and cast a vote for Harrison and Spooner.

M. Owens, of Eau Claire, spent Sunday in Withee, where he has men looking over the Spaulding lands.

Mrs. W. S. Tufts, Miss Mary Johnson and Thomas Gillespie drove to Thorp, Saturday, and called on Miss Mamie Gorman and her parents.

Robert Camp, of Milwaukee, was in town, Saturday, for a short time.

W. S. Tufts was quite busy before election making bets on Harrison and Spooner, and now he is kept quite busy drawing checks for himself, also for his two sons at college, who did some betting on the same parties.

Colonel Bird, of Madison, came to Withee, on the Thursday evening train, on business for the Withee estate.

Miss Blanche Gibson returned home, Saturday, from Evenston, where she had been attending school.

Wm. Flanagan was in town, Saturday, unloading a carload of feed.
