Colby - May 30, 1946

Roy Wilde and Bill Sossaman spent several days of last in Chicago.

Miss Margaret Touchen of Dorchester visited at the W. Sossaman home Sunday.

Mrs. Julia Wolk returned to Colby after spending several weeks at Wausau.

Miss Laura Steinwand returned to Colby after spending a week in Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carrol and Roy Wilde spent a week in northern Minnesota fishing.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Larson, of Wausau spent the week-end at the Oscar Dix home.

Mrs. James Beals left for Chicago Wednesday to join her husband who is employed there.

The Misses Rita Kriplean and Virginia Firnstahl left last Thursday for St. Paul to visit relatives.

A. X. Umhoefer, Joe Steinwand and Ed Feit attended a Forester meeting at Rice Lake Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Loos and daughter returned home after spending ten days at Charleston, Mo.

Miss Bernice Pokallus of Milwaukee is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Pokallus.

Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Wallace of Madison spent several days with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holtzhausen.

Mrs. Pauline Barber left for Minneapolis after spending the past three months with her sister, Mrs. J. T. Selves.

Mrs. Jake Hauser and Mrs. Wallace Sossaman and son, Claude, visited at Dorchester Friday with Mr. and Mrs. H. Pauls.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marquardt left for Mercer, Wis., where they will spend some time at their cottage on Eicho Lake.

Mrs. Clarence Arnoux returned to Evantson, Ill., after visiting two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Meyer.

Pvt. Herman Sossaman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Sossaman, is now stationed at Atlanta, Georgia, where he is attending school.
