Oscar Herrmann is at the Memorial Hospital at Wausau. Victor Frane returned home from a two weeks’ visit in Los Angeles, Calif. Frank Woskie of St. Paul is spending several days with his cousin, Mrs. R. W. Woskie. Al Franz and Al Goldamer left Tuesday for Seattle, Wash. where they will visit for about a week. Rev. O. Hoffmann attended a pastoral conference at Park Falls on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. W. Ritz of Texas spent the week-end at the home of Dr. and Mrs. H. H. Christofferson. George Schumann and son, George Jr., are guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dins and Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Mandel. Mrs. George Krepsky and her mother, Mrs. Mary Schade, spent several days in Milwaukee visiting Harold and Everett Schade. J. J. Youmans returned to his duties as Soo Line agent at Mellen, Wis., Monday after spending a two weeks’ vacation at his home in Colby. Mrs. Arthur Frane of near Milan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Schmidt of Colby, underwent an operation at the Marshfield hospital Tuesday. C. J. Kraus, A. X. Umhoefer, J. L. Steinwand and Paul Umhoefer attended the installation of officers at the C.O.F. court at Stanley last week Tuesday evening. Art Pynnonen, Henry Voightlander, Jr., Billy Waldhart, Eugene Johnson and Don Primeau are attending the Future Farmers of America convention at Kansas City this week. Mr. and Mrs. George Roohr and son arrived from Logan, Utah, and are staying with the former’s brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Daines, for an indefinite time. Vernon Wicker of Burlington is spending a week with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Wicker of Colby, and brother and sister in law Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wicker of the town of Hull.
