John Henry Farber, while about town (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Saturday evening last was taken ill and was assisted by friends to Dr. Jackey's office and the doctor hastily summoned about the time the latter the latter reached the office, Mr. Farber died. Heart disease, with which he has been affected for some time past, was the cause of his sudden end. Mr. Farber was fifty-two years of age and was a barber by trade. He came here about six years ago and conducted a shop until last fall, when failing health forced him to sell out. For the last year himself and wife have operated a boarding home. Mr. Farber was an honest man in all his dealings, a good citizen and his sudden death is sincerely regretted by all with whom he came in contact. He was born in Germany on Dec. 18, 1859, and came with his parents to this country when six years of age, the family first settling in Pennsylvania, and after a short period moved to Wausau, Wis., where he grew to manhood. He leaves a wife, on sister, Miss Johanna Farber of Wausau, and one brother, Fred Farber of Portland, Oregon. Funeral services were conducted at the residence on Tuesday morning by Rev. Father Bell of Bloomer, and the remains shipped to Wausau on the noon train for interment. Mr. Farber was a member of the local Beavers Lodge, and Secretary of the same.
