Plucinski, Caroline (7 FEB 1860 - 2 NOV 1920)

Mrs. Frank Plucinski died at St. Joseph's Hospital at Chippewa Fall on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1920, after an illness of several weeks. About three weeks previous to her death she went to the hospital where an operation for gallstones was successfully performed, but weak heart action followed, which finally ended her sufferings.

Caroline Klouda was born at Drosof, Moraoia, Austria, on Feb. 7, 1860, where she grew to womanhood. In July 1887 she was united in marriage with Frank Plucinski at Vienna, Austria, where they resided for five years. On Jan. 21, 1892, they arrived in America and for four years following resided in Chicago and in the spring of 1897 came to Thorp, Clark County, Wis., where for nine years they lived on a farm east of the village. For the past fourteen years they have been residents of this village. Deceased was a good neighbor and enjoyed a large circle of friends in the community. She leaves to mourn, her husband, Frank Plucinski, one daughter, Mrs. F. Springer of Duluth, two sons, Frank Plucinski Jr., who is in the army at present and George Plucinski, assistant cashier at the People's State Bank; also two brothers, Carl and Joseph Klouda, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Alschwank, who resides at Constantinople.

The remains were brought here on Thursday and the funeral took place from the M. E. Church, Rev. R. S. Dunbar of Stanley, officiating, interment following in the family lot at the Thorp Village Cemetery.
