Kadolph, 90, Loyal, died on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, June 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiated. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery. Grandchildren served as pallbearers. Hillus Karl Kadolph was born on Feb. 15, 1913, in rural Loyal, to William and Anna (nee Lemke) Kadolph. He was raised on the family farm. He was educated in the Loyal area and graduated from Loyal High School. After his education, he continued to work on the farm. He married Lucille Matthias on Feb. 24, 1941, in Neenah. He resided on the family farm and did custom slaughtering. In 1952, they built the Dairy Queen on the south end of Marshfield and operated it for two years. He continued to farm until 1970, when they sold the farm to their son, Roger, and daughter-in-law, LaVerne. They moved to Arizona and lived there for 18 years. They moved back to Loyal and he lived there until the time of his death. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, and was a former caretaker of the Loyal City and Lutheran cemeteries. His interests included woodworking and polka dancing. Survivors include his wife, Lucille, Loyal; three sons, Roger (LaVerne) Kadolph, Loyal, Randy (Jean) Kadolph, Greenville, and Jack (Vicki) Kadolph, Loyal; one daughter-in-law, Marian Kadolph, Withee; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Jahr, Marshfield. Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Larry Kadolph. Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
