LOYAL -- Wayne D. Krug, 55, of Loyal, formerly of the Owen-Withee area, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at his town of Beaver residence under the loving care of his wife and Ministry Home Hospice Care.

At Wayne's request, there will be no public service and a private family gathering will be at a later date.

Wayne Krug was born Oct. 1, 1952, in Stanley, the son of Dean and Adeline (Lentz) Krug. He was a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and attended the Fox Valley Technical School for auto mechanics. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. His first marriage was to Lorraine Maslowski in 1976 and they later divorced. In 2003, Wayne and the former Kathy Foley were united in marriage in Neillsville.

Wayne had been employed by Marawood-Braun for 27 years and then three years with Braun Concrete and Excavation, retiring because of ill health. A great outdoorsman, Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Loyal American Legion.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, of Loyal; his children, Jessica Krug and her fiancé, Landon Kramer, Lucas Krug of Eau Claire and Robert Dewaid of Colby; stepchildren, Darcy Tetzlaff of Portland, Ore., and Andrew Tetzlaff with the U.S. Navy stationed in Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Kathleen "Kitty" (Mike) Tomazak of Curtiss and Christine (Gary) Fritz of Owen; brothers, Mark (Melissa) Krug of Greenwood, Michael Krug of Greenwood and Rick (Sandy) Krug of Stratford; one grandson, Cole Kramer; mother and father-in-law, Stanley and Dorothy Foley of Withee; two brothers-in-law, Brian (Gerri) Foley of Fall Brook, Calif., and John (Ellen) Foley of Wisconsin Rapids; and lifetime friend and buddy, Fred Letvinuck of Greenwood.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.

May the wind be always at your back...

May the sun shine warm upon your face...

May the rains fall gently upon your field...

And until we meet again may God hold
