Miss Ruth Pope of Spencer attended the dance here Tuesday night.

G. A. Sprague was a Medford visitor Sunday.

Mrs. Jacob Ryner left Monday for a visit at Appleton.

R. E. Beisner of Napoleon, N. D. attended the funeral of his brother Otto here last Saturday.

Art Garbisch returned last Saturday from an extended auto trip through the central part of the state.

Wm. Bassler of Grand Rapids, visited at the home of his brother George here Monday.

Frank Skruvani and Nicholas Marette left last Friday night for the South Dakota harvest fields.

Mrs. H. V. Miller and her brother Wm. Fessler, both of Minneapolis visited here with friends the past week.

Miss Delia Koehn was a guest of Miss Lydia Lapp at her home near Curtiss the first of the week.

O. A. Peterson and son Leo of Granton autoed up here on a short visit Tuesday evening.

Peter Husting of Mayville, Wis., adjuster for the Herman Mutual Fire Insurance company, had business in the village Monday.

Rev. W. W. Krueger, formerly of this village, but now of Iron River, Wis., visited here with friends a couple of days this week.

A number of young folks enjoyed a birthday party in honor of Miss Christine Peterson at her home Monday night.

Edwald Meves, the Milan cigar-maker and violinist, was in the village Wednesday making arrangements to start a class of violinists in the near future.

Miss Bertha Mueller left for Milwaukee Wednesday to purchase her stock of fall millinery goods. She was accompanied as far as Spencer by her mother.

The Misses Leda Morey and Ethel Martin, who have been visiting at the George Bassler home for the past two months, left Wednesday morning for their home at Plainfield, Wis.

William Filsinger, who has been spending an extended vacation with relatives here this summer left Wednesday for Milwaukee to resume his duties again as cigar salesman in the Hotel Pfister.
