MRS. FRED CRAKOW RECENTLY PASSED AWAY

Mrs. Fred Crakow passed away a the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Patiz after an illness of a year, the last three months of while she had been confined to her bed. Death was caused by cancer.

Christine Kare was born in Neimarch, Germany August 4th, 1849, and passed away March 30, 1925 at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 26 days. She was married to Fred Crakow in 1872 and to this union one daughter was born. In 1883 Mr. and Mrs. Crakow and daughter came to the United States, living at Arlington Heights for about 6 months and later moved to a farm near Curtiss and made their home there for many years. Mrs. Crakow was preceded to the grave by her husband who passed away about five year ago. She has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Patitz for some time and has many friends in this village and at Curtiss, who sincerely mourn her loss. She had been a member of the Lutheran Church since girlhood and was a woman of strong Christian character and a patient, loving wife and mother. To those near and dear to her, we offer our most heartfelt sympathy at their loss.

She leaves to mourn her departure, one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Patitz of this village, two grandchildren, Mrs. C. Zoch of Stevens Point and Walter Patitz at Marquette University, Milwaukee, one great grandchild, ****unreadable word**** Henry Zoch of Stevens Point and brother Godfrey Kare of Boston and three sisters in Germany.

Funeral services were held at home Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Von Busch officiating. Internment took place in the Colby cemetery.

The Tribune and friends offer sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
