Albert Nitzlaff left the first of the week for a trip to the west.

John Sybaldon, of Athens, moved his family to Abbotsford last Saturday.

Rudy Thompson is in a hospital at Eau Claire receiving treatment for his eyes.

John Ellerman has gone to Durand to visit his sister and will also enjoy a fishing trip at the same time.

Bill Anderson and George Barker were at Anderson Lake last Sunday and report the fishing very poor.

Len Patterson, who has been serving in the army, is home on account of a severe attack of rheumatism.

Jerry Sullivan has the contract for painting the large Liberty Pole which will be erected here very soon.

Oran Perry and T. B. Wing were up at Stone Lake for a fishing trip the latter part of last week. They report a good catch.

John Haugener, of North Fond du Lac, visited his father here the first of the week, prior to the leaving of the latter for Portland, Oregon.

Paul Waech and his father-in-law, Mr. Smith, have returned from a fishing trip to Anderson lake, near Perkinstown. They brought home as a portion of their catch a fine pickerel.

Mrs. James Pazdernick and her daughter, Mrs. Stallman, of Corinth, were in Abbotsford Tuesday on their way to Rhinelander. While here they were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Buchholz.

E. B. Young, principal in the High School the past three years, is removing to Manawa where he will take charge of the school at that place the coming fall. His car of household goods left Tuesday.

D. W. Tiffany, the past several years manager of the light plant, is this week moving his household goods to Cornell where he has accepted a position as manager of the lighting system there. J. H. Gugler of Milwaukee has taken charge of the local plant.

Wm. Mannes, who has for several years published the Clarion in this village, has rented the paper to Henry E. Ryberg, who was formerly in the business in Minnesota, and is taking a much needed vacation. Mr. Ryberg is now in charge and will endeavor to give the people of Abbotsford and vicinity a live local newspaper.
