JAMES POLZIN

Sohren, Germany--James Earl Polzin, 34, of Sohren, Germany, formerly of Abbotsford, passed away June 26, 1997, in Sohren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Visitation with the family will be prior to the memorial service at the church.

Burial will be in Germany.

Mr. Plozin was born Aug. 13, 1962, in Marshfield, to Bernard H. and Lois (Knight) Polzin. He married Marion Wickert on Aug. 16, 1986, in Sohren.

Following his 1981 graduation from Abbotsford High School, he joined the Air Force. He was stationed at several bases and finally at Hahn AFB in Sohren. After his honorable discharge five years ago, he made his home in Sohren. He helped run the guest house and bakery owned by his parents-in-law.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Polzin of Sohren; his children, Killian, Sammy and Alicia Polzin, all at home; his parents, Bernard and Louis Polzin of Abbotsford; his brothers and sisters, Ted (Bonnie) Polzin of Colby, Mary (Robert) Schalk of Allenton, Esther Westerhausen and her friend Allen Bremmer of Schofield, John Polzin and his friend Marcia Tomaczeak of Abbotsford, Roger (Carol) Polzin of Wausau, Chief Petty Officer Ronald (Sharon) Polzin of Pensacola, Fla., Nancy Polzin of Spencer, Bernice (Steve) Merten of Bancroft, David (Beverly) Polzin of Ogema, Charles Polzin of Unity and Gloria (Mark) Homer of Medford; several nieces and nephews; and his father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Crystal Wickert of Sohren.
