Surnames: Mikol, Kriplean, Van Source: Green Bay Press Gazette (Green Bay, Brown County, Wis.) 10/13/2007 Mikol, Arlene (17 May 1921 – 11 Oct. 2007) Arlene Mikol, 86, Green Bay, died Thursday afternoon, Oct. 11, 2007, at an assisted living home surrounded by her family. She was born in Medford, Wis., on May 17, 1921, to the late Harry and Caroline (Kriplean) Van. Arlene attended school in Abbotsford, Wis. and moved to Green Bay in 1938. Years ago she worked for Standard Oil Company and later for J. C. Penney. On March 31, 1951, she married Don Mikol and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2000. She enjoyed her grandchildren, bowling, fishing, flowers, her birds, butterflies, and "grand dogs."
