Obit: Mason, Etta #2 (1878 – 1953)
Surnames: Mason, Schall, Cook, Niehaus, Minear, Tolefson Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 10/15/1953 Mason, Etta (27 Apr. 1878 – 11 Oct. 1953) Mrs. Arthur Mason of Marshfield, a former resident of Unity, died Sunday morning in the Bethel Convalescent Home. She had been ill since last May and her death was caused by a stroke. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Unity Methodist church, Rev. Harvey Schall officiating, and internment was made in the Unity cemetery. Etta Cook was born on April 27, 1878, at Gravesville and was married to Arthur Mason on June 25, 1902, in Unity. She moved to Unity with her parents as a small child and lived there until 1923, then in Marshfield until 1949, in West Allis until 1949 and then in Memomonee Falls until April, 1952, when they moved back to Marshfield. She received her education in Unity and belonged to the Rebekah Lodge of West Allis. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Glenn and Melvin of Thiensville, Walter of North Prairie; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Leta) Niehaus of Marshfield and Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Minear of Coolidge, Ariz.; three brothers, George and Walter Cook of Unity and Raymond Cook of Marathon; two sisters, Mabel Cook of Chicago and Mrs. Andrew Tolefson of Solon Springs. Also 11 grand children and two great grand children. A son, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
