Thursday, 02/18/1954 Allar, John (13 July 1872 – 13 Feb. 1954) John Allar, a prominent farmer of the town of Colby, died Saturday evening at 11:30 o’clock in the Marshfield hospital at the age of 81 years. He was admitted to the hospital on February 3rd after breaking his hip. A rosary was recited at the Lulloff Funeral Home Monday evening and funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. Frank Brickl officiating, and burial was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Arthur Sterzinger, Frank Sterzinger, Joe Hainzlsperger, Raymond Hainzlsperger, Raymond Allar and Matt Allar. Mr. Allar was born on July 13, 1872, in Superior, Mich. He was married to Amelia Hainzlsperger on June 25, 1901 in Colby and resided here ever since their marriage. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife; three sons, George, Sr., of Colby, Frank of Spencer and Joseph of Fond du Lac; eight grand children and six great grand children. Three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Allar will be remembered by his many friends for his congenial and industrious disposition as well as for his honest dealings, so characteristic of the early settlers. Stallfus and family of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allar of Sheboygan, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Allar and Theresa Noll, Mr. and Mrs. William Krueger and son, Herbert, Mrs. Bertha Koenig, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Biesck and son, Elmer and Mrs. Alvin Kern of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Allar, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Allar and Judy and Mr. and Mrs. John Hainzlsperger of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allar of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hainzlsperger and Mrs. John Noll of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Thill of Oakfield, Mrs. Gilbert Wilt of Mayville, Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Jicensky of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lowecewicz of Thorp and Alvin Blazel of Dorchester.
