Brotherton, Regina (13 May 1911 – 8 Sept. 1955)

Funeral services for Mrs. Marion (Regina) Brotherton, who died last Thursday morning at 7:00 A.M. of a heart attack at her home in the town of Hull at the age of 44 years, were held Sunday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Six brothers served as pall bearers.

Mrs. Brotherton was born on May 13, 1911, in the town of Hull, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huhn. Since her marriage in Unity on August 5, 1931, she lived on the present farm in the town of Hull.

Surviving are her father and husband of the town of Hull; one daughter, Mrs. Don (Iris) Schumann of Hazelton, N.D.; six brothers, Ferdinand of Milan, Neal of Spencer, Milton of Tomahawk, Errol of Cadott, Orrin of Marengo and Franklin of Berkeley, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Arnold (Lois) Krueger of Colby, one grand son.

Mrs. Brotherton was a highly respected member of this community, kind and gentle in her ways, who always considered the welfare of her family in preference to social pleasures.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Arno Huhn, Mr. and Mrs. Arno Bohl, Mr. and Mrs. George Wilke, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Doersch, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Hoff, Melvin Doersch and Mrs. Fred Rust, all of Sheboygan, Mrs. Martha Meinholdt and Mrs. Robert Schneider of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marquardt and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kalepp of Athens, Mrs. Clarence Lemmer of Rothschild, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Dalhke and Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Huhn and family of Milan, Mrs. LaVerne Daeke and James Allan of Milwaukee, Neal Huhn and Alvin Brotherton of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Huhn and family of Tomahawk, Mr. and Mrs. Errol Huhn of Cadott, Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Huhn of Marengo, Franklin Huhn of Berkeley, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Walker and son and Mr. and Mrs. Chet Perchke of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Richard Brotherton of Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Schlais, Mr. and Mrs. Rhienhold Strebe, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Slice and Norman Holtz, all of Medford, and Virgil Schlais of Abbotsford.
