Hintz, Stella (9 Mar. 1905 – 16 Oct. 1949)

Mrs. L. A. Hintz, formerly of Colby and daughter of Mrs. Anna M. Dessloch of Colby, died at Prairie du Chien, Wis., Sunday, Oct. 16th, at 12:45 P.M. after a lingering illness of four years duration. Funeral services were held at the Lincoln Crestwood Lutheran church at Milwaukee Wednesday afternoon, Rev. M. Gamb officiating, and burial was made from the Helden & Lange Funeral Home in the Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Heintz was born in the town of Beaver, Clark county, on March 9th, 1905, thus reaching the age of 44 years, seven months and seven days. She graduated from Colby High School in 1921, attended Oshkosh Normal School two years, taught rural school near Colby one year and was employed at the A. F. Zillmer Co. store in Colby one and one-half year. She was married to Leonard A. Hintz at Colby on October 10th, 1929. They lived in Oshkosh until 10 years ago when they moved to their present home in Milwaukee.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Anna M. Dessloch, whose maiden name was Anna M. Gessert and who was born in Sheboygan county; two brothers, N. L. Dessloch of Colby and Dr. E. M. Dessloch of Prairie du Chien; and two nieces, Sharon and Gail Dessloch of Prairie du Chien. Her father, Jacob H. Dessloch, who was born in Sheboygan county, passed away 13 years ago.

Mrs. Anna M. Dessloch and son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Dessloch, attended the funeral services in Milwaukee.
