Lorbiecki, Bernadine (27 JUN 1942)

Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Free drove to Milwaukee the latter part of last week to attend the wedding service uniting their son, William O. Free, and Bernadine Lorbiecki in marriage on Saturday, June 27th, 1942. The ceremony was performed in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and the marriage vows were read by Father James Harding.

Aleda Free, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor, and Lois Jinde? Of Milwaukee, attended as bridesmaid. Floyd Engebretson of Withee was the grooms best man, and Lawrence Rosenstock, a close friend of the groom, of Milwaukee, was the usher.

The bride wore a white taffeta dress with a pearl trimmed crown and carried a colonial style bouquet of white roses, shooting stars, snapdragons and baby’s breath.

The maid of honor wore a pink chiffon dress trimmed with lace and blue ribbon. She carried a bouquet of pink roses with larkspur tied with blue ribbon. The bridesmaid wore the same kind of dress, only in blue, and her flowers were tied in pink ribbon. They both had headdresses made of flowers to match their dresses. The men wore blue suits and had pink roses.

A supper was held at the bride’s home for a few relatives and friends. The bridal couple left for Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) with the groom’s parents for a week’s honeymoon.

Following a short honeymoon, the young couple will reside in Milwaukee where he has a position with the National Biscuit Co.
