Bredeson, Agnette (4 DEC 1856 - 4 OCT 1941)

Funeral services were conducted from the Emmanuel Lutheran church at Longwood at two o’clock Tuesday for Mrs. Tom Bredeson, 80 (84) years and 10 months of age, by the Rev. A. E. Norson. Interment was made in the Longwood cemetery.

Mrs. Bredeson was born on Dec. 4, 1856, in Norway. She came to this country when a young lady and for the past 40 years had been a settler in the community.

For the past several months she has been in extremely poor health and for the past few days before her passing away was confined to her bed at home with bronchial pneumonia.

Mrs. Tom Bredeson, nee Agnette Arneson, passed away at her home at Longwood, Saturday, Oct. 4, after a long illness. Her death was contributed to old age complications.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from the Longwood Emmanuel Lutheran church, officiated by Rev. A. E. Norson. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

She was 84 years and 10 months of age at the time of her passing into eternity. Of this number of years she had spent the past 46 as a resident of the Longwood community, during which time she had enjoyed the friendship and respect of all her neighbors and a great many friends.

She was a wonderful mother and wife to her family which included her husband; a son, Julius; and four daughters, Mrs. Olivia Bowen and Mrs. John Awe of Withee; Mrs. Carl Shirley of Farmington, Minn., and Mrs. Herman Thiel of Thorp. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was a devoted Christian and a faithful worker and member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid.

Pallbearers at the service were Lucius Bowen, Everett Awe, Arthur Anderson, and three grandsons, John Bowen, Clayton Bowen and LaVerne Thiel.
