Stella L. Frank

Stella L. Frank, 82, of M521 N. St. Joseph Ave., died Friday, April 6, 2007, at the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with her grandsons serving as the pallbearers.

Visitations will be from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Stella was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Thorp to Frank and Lillian (Gorney) Pogodzinski. She attended Field School in Thorp.

She was united in marriage to Alfred A. Frank on Sept. 16, 1944, in Milwaukee. Alfred died Nov. 4, 2005.

After their marriage, the couple lived in Chicago for a few years then returned to Thorp where they farmed. In 1959, they purchased their present farm in the town of McMillan then sold the farm to their son Dennis after they retired in 1990.

Stella is survived by one daughter, Carolyn (Jerry) Leonhardt of Spencer; two sons, Robert (Rosanne) Frank of Spencer and Dennis (Mary) Frank of Spencer; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Albert Pogodzinski of Abbotsford and her sister, Bernice Morgan of Lake Villa, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred; two brothers Bernard and Leon Pogodzinski; and six sisters, Victoria Zawadski, Frances Platt, Hattie Swiontek, Jenny Zawadski, Anna Smollar and Elizabeth Bonda.
