Cramer, Bertha (18 March 1909 – 8 May 2007)

Bertha Cramer

SPENCER -- Bertha Cramer 98, of Three Oaks, Marshfield, formerly of Spencer, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, town of Brighton. The Rev. Karl Rose will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bertha's grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007, at Community Funeral Home, Spencer, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Bertha was born March 18, 1909, in the town of Brighton, Marathon County, to Frank and Clara (Naatz) Neumann. She attended Brighton School. Bertha and Earl Cramer were married June 6, 1929, at St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer. He preceded her in death. They farmed near Spencer. She worked in housekeeping at Saint Joseph's Hospital and baby-sat for area families.

She was a loving mother and will be missed by her family.

Bertha was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.

Bertha is survived by her children, Arvid Cramer, Claire (Leonard) Hebert and Vernice (Verlyn) Beyreis, all of Spencer; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, seven step-great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-law, Margaret Willner of Colby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Keith Beyreis; a daughter-in-law, Margie Cramer; and three sisters.
