Surnames: Kiefer, Beschta, Jordan, Seville, Apfelbeck, Leichtnam, Andrew, Schraufnagel, Kugel, Steger, Bandle, Holbach, Arnold, Jordan, Markonski, Jensen, Browne, Kesler, Lufe, Rueden, Smudde, Linn, Arndt, Hefisch Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 03/29/1951 Kiefer, Celia (6 May 1921 – 27 Mar. 1951) Mrs. Aaron Kiefer of Colby, route 1, died of a brain hemorrhage at the Marshfield hospital Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 P.M. at the age of 29 years. On March 23rd, Mrs. Kiefer gave birth to a son at the Marshfield hospital. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic church Saturday morning at 9:30, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating. The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home where a rosary will be held Friday night at 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Kiefer was born in Unity on May 6th, 1921, and was married in January, 1944, in Oklahoma. Mrs. Kiefer is a graduate of the Unity High School and Central State Teachers College of Stevens Point and was a member of the Christian Mothers’ Society. She taught school near Unity, Abbotsford and Withee before her marriage. She was of a pleasant disposition and had many friends who were shocked to hear of her unexpected death. Surviving are her husband; five children including the baby (four sons and one daughter); her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan of Unity; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Seville of Crown Point, Ind., and Rosemaire, at home; and one brother, James, at home. Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 04/05/1951 Funeral services for Mrs. Aaron Kiefer, whose untimely death was chronicled in the Phonograph last week, were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church last Saturday morning, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Ben Apfelbeck, Elmer Leichtnam, Ralph Andrew, Cletus Schraufnagel, Alphonse Schraufnagel and Rudy Kugel. Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kiefer and family of Menomonee Falls, Mr. and Mrs. John Steger, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Steger and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bandle of Theresa, Mr. and Mrs. Alois Steger of Red Granite, Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Holbach, Mr. and Mrs. James Jordan and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Arnold of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Markonski, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jensen and Ione, and Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Jensen of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Seville of Crown Point, Ind., Mrs. Tom Browne of Waupaca, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kesler and Mr. and Mrs. August Lufe of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kesler of Manitowoc, Mrs. Henry Rueden of West DePere, Ben Smudde of Appleton, Nick and Shirley Smudde of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Linn and Patricia of Astico, Mrs. Henry Arndt and Marien of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jordan of Hurley, Mrs. Helen Jordan of Mellen, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hefisch of Curtiss and R.
