Surnames: Heck, Stabnow, Severson, Thomas, Scott, Henke Source: Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark Co., WI) March 12, 2008 Heck, Vera A. (25 February 1925 – 7 March 2008) Vera A. Heck, 83, of Greenwood died March 7, 2008, at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Vera was born February 25, 1925, in Greenwood, the daughter of Vern and Louella (Stabnow) Severson. She received her education in the Greenwood and Loyal Schools. She married Hareld E. Heck, March 19, 1944, in Neillsville. She and her husband farmed in the Town of York and Eaton. Vera was employed at ArtCraft Mobile Homes in Spencer, retiring in 1983. Vera is survived by one son, Hareld L. (Wilma) Heck, Greenwood; four grandchildren, Hareld V., Christine, Stacy and John; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lester (Helen) Severson, Greenwood, and Douglas (Elaine) Severson, Withee; two sisters, Ethel Thomas, Loyal, and Alice Scott, Crystal Lake, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hareld E. heck, June 25, 1965, and one son, LaVern E. Heck, June 18, 1967. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, with Pastor Kevin Henke officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery. The Buchanan Funeral Home of Neillsville assisted the family with arrangements. |
