Obit: Hardrath, Herman Sr. #3 (1856 – 1941)
Surnames: Hardrath, Molle, Nelson, Schuette, Fischer The Loyal Tribune 09 October 1941 Hardrath, Herman Sr. #3 (17 DEC 1856 – 19 SEP 1941) Funeral rites were held for Herman Hardrath, Sr., who died at the home of his son Henry Hardrath in the town of Green Grove, Sept. 19, 1941 at the age of 85 years and 2 days, after a lingering illness. Services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Loyal Theatre at Loyal with Mr. Petren of Milwaukee officiating. Interment was made in the Beaver Cemetery beside his wife and son. Mr. Hardrath was born in Germany December 17, 1856 and came to America with his parents when he was 14 years old. He grew to manhood in Manitowoc County and was married to Miss Emma Molle in 1882. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Hardrath moved to Green Grove Township, Clark county where he lived up to the time of his death with the exception of six years in the Village of Loyal. Those left to mourn his death are four sons, Henry, Herman, Jr., and Louie all of Green Grove, and Albert of Chicago, and three daughters, Mrs. Wm. (Clara) Nelson, Mrs. Martha Schuette of Beaver and Mrs. Elwood (Esther) Fischer of Green Grove, 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in 1933 and a son Arthur died in 1901. Six grandsons of Mr. Hardrath acted as pall bearers namely Howard, Halbert, Harlan, Alden, and Allen Hardrath and Duane Fischer. Flowers were carried by the following granddaughters, Mrs. Walter Pieper, Mrs. Stanley Stevens, Mrs. Roscoe Alexander, Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft, Veryl Nelson, Beverly Fischer, and Mrs. Alden Hardrath. The children of Mr. Hardrath have the sympathy of the community. North Beaver Cor. |
