Looker, Emma (11 Nov. 1866 – 20 Feb. 1952)

Mrs. Emma Looker, nee Emma Traverse, a resident for many years of Withee died an invalid home at Stanley where she had been an invalid for the past seven years. Death was due to old age and pneumonia.

Age at time of death was 85 years, 3 months and 9 days. She was married September 29, 1889 to Wm. Looker at Woodstock, Ill. They moved to Withee in 1919. Her husband preceded her in death February 2, 1923.

Before her health failed she was an active member of the Methodist Church at Withee.

Funeral services were held at the Withee Methodist Church February 22 at 2 p.m. Rev. Leland Shaw of Stanley officiated. Burial was made at Riverside cemetery.

Surviving are nine children, Charles, Hayward; Leslie, La Farge; Cetcil, Owen; Theran, Gerber, Calif.; Mrs. Nick Mer?. Withee; Mrs. Edwin Lang of Unity; Mrs. Wilbur Stewart of Greenwood; Mrs. Wm. Stutt of Concord, Calif.; Mrs. Orville Natzke, Wausau; one brother, two sisters; 31 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons and granddaughters were the flower girls.

Out of town persons attending the funeral were from La Velle, New Holstein, Madison, Viola, Bloom City, La Farge, Chippewa Falls, Hillsboro, Colby, Unity, Greenwood, Wausau, Owen and Stanley.
