Thursday, 3 Feb. 1944 O’Reilly, Emma Amelia (28 Aug. 1872 – 2 Feb. 1944) Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Amelia O’Reilly, of route 4, Neillsville, who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, February 2, were held Saturday morning, February 4, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. The Rev. Fr. J. A. Biegler of St. Mary’s church was the officiating clergyman. The Schiller-Terhune funeral home had charge of the service, and burial took place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Mrs. O’Reilly was born Emma Amelia Maass, the daughter of Christian and Amelia (Karvitz) Maass, on *August 28, 1872, at New London, Wis., on *October 11, 1892. In 1918, they moved to Clark County, and have made their home in the town of Grant. Mrs. O’Reilly has been in failing health for several years, and on January 31 entered St. Joseph’s hospital, where she passed away Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. She was 71 years of age. She is survived by her husband, ten children and fifteen grandchildren. The children are: Thomas, Minneapolis; Vincent and Basil, Milwaukee; Ceilia, Mrs. Reuben Bartz, Loyal; Mary, Mrs. Gilbert Yankee; Granton; Emma, Mrs. Reuben Schultz, Neillsville,, Francis, who is a first lieutenant in the U. S. Naval reserve; Florence, Lawrence and Leonard at home. One brother relatives in Maine. Pallbearers were: Millard Chadwick, George Krause, Arthur Dahl, Rella Osgood, Truman Davis and James Bertz. **The dates are typed like they appeared in the original write up. |
