(1 Jan. 1898 – 9 Jan. 1956) Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, for Theodore A. Flink, 58, who died early Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient since Dec. 24. The Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiated. The body reposed at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby until the time of services. Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Flink was born Jan. 1, 1898, on a farm a mile south of Unity. He attended elementary and high school here and was married at Wausau to the former Alma Ewert in June, 1921. For the past 12 years, he had resided in Unity, moving here from a farm near the village where he lived for 17 years. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Betty) Schweke, Marshfield, a grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Stark, Unity, and Mrs. Jennie Uecker, Waterford, and five brothers, William and John, Minneapolis, Carl and Oscar, Milwaukee, and August, Unity. Flink, 58, who died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, January 9th. Rev. Vander Stoep conducted services at Trinity Lutheran Church prior to the military graveside services which were conducted by the Unity Legion and the Colby VFW. Pallbearers were Edward Feit, Ed Mews, Alvin Woik, Leon Jost, Frank Tippelt and Fred Loughead. At the church the choir sang “Abide With Me” and “Beyond the Sunset.” Mrs. Henry Binning played the piano accompaniment. Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Flink, Carl and Marvin Flink, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Dallman, Herman Uecker, Norman Uecker, of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Flink, Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Sanders, Minneapolis; Miss M. Liepert, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson, DuWayne Coyier, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Falk, Anna Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Flink, Clintonville; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Huebner, New London; Mrs. Dave Flink, Manawa; John Anderson, Martin Flink, Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Welsh, Rhinelander; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ewert, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Schweke, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Flink, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Tesmer, of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Don Prehn, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schweke, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Flink, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Obenberger, Athens; and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rueden, Abbotsford.
