Seefeldt, Amanda A. (19 Dec. 1877 – 5 Sept. 1956)

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Swarthout Funeral Home, Spencer, for Mrs. Amanda A. Seefeldt, 78, a resident of Unity for the past 11 years, by the Rev. Martin Krause, Green Grove. Burial was made in the West Spencer cemetery.

Pallbearers were Herman Andre, Robert Andre, Guy Kleinsmith, Floyd Wein, Norman Wein and Olaf Monthe.

In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Guy Kleinsmith, Miss Alberta Wein and Miss Judy Wein.

Mrs. Seefeldt died Wednesday morning in a Wausau hospital.

The former Amanda Andre was born in Mayville, Dodge County, December 19, 1877. She and her husband, the late Otto Seefeldt, farmed west of Unity for 55 years, moving to Unity after their retirement. He died four years ago.

Survivors include seven children, Edwin and Rosetta, Chili; Cordelia, Camarillo, California; Amanda, Burbank, California; Viola, Marshfield; Lillian, Milwaukee; and Beulah, Wausau; one brother, Robert Andre, Spencer; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Schwartz, Oshkosh; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Two sons and two brothers preceded her in death.

Out of town people who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schwartz, Oshkosh, Mrs. Cordelia Smith of California; Mr. and Mrs. Art Hahn, Theresa; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nelson, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. James Kaufman, Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Arden Pryce, Great Lakes, Michigan; Mr. Dale Seefeldt, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Kleinsmith, Wausau; Alberta Wein, Wausau; and Donald Berg, Marshfield.
