Read the interesting article on page six, “Training Wild Animals,” by Lewis Edwin Theiss. The special feature next week will be “Fighting the Sleeping Sickness.”

Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Philleo of Grand Rapids, arrived in the city, Saturday evening, for a week’s visit with Mrs. Roy E. Prosser and family. The two ladies are sisters.

Miss Fannie Kugle, who formerly resided here, sent us a copy of the Easter edition of the Dunn County News, published at Menomonie, Wis., for which she has our thanks.

John Leonhardt, who moved up into Taylor county to work for Tom Tuttle, fell from a load of lumber, Tuesday, and broke a leg. His father went up yesterday to see him.

The Badger orchestra has bills posted for a dance to be held in the Colby opera house on Friday evening, April 28th. Their music is as good as any of the traveling orchestras.

Anton Umhoefer was home from the University for Easter. He went to Menomonee Falls, Monday, to attend the funeral of his grandmother, and from there returned to Madison.

Richard Fleischmann of Antigo, who has been here clerking in his uncle’s store since last fall, departed for his home Saturday. He may decide to remain home during the summer.

Gust Polege of Stratford, spent Easter Sunday in the town of Hull, with Theo. Schneider’s family. He returned home Monday, accompanied by Miss Lizzie Schneider who is teaching near Stratford.

Colby Camp No. 341, Modern Woodmen of America, extends an invitation to the people of Colby and vicinity to attend the Free Entertainment at the Colby opera house, Tuesday evening, April 25th.

Mrs. Chas. P. Tesmer and daughter Florence went to Fond du Lac, Tuesday, to visit her sister, Mrs. Geo. M. Eder, a couple weeks. Miss Selma Klessig accompanied them and will remain in that city.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Will who have been visiting at the home of their son, in the town of Colby, and with their grand-children in the city, left Monday for Mellen, where they will visit their daughter.
