Obit: Bonczyk, Agnes R. (1861 – 1944)
Surnames: Bonczyk Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 11/23/1944 Bonczyk, Agnes R. (6 JAN 1861 – 13 NOV 1944) Mrs. Agnes Regina Bonczyk passed away at the farm home of her son, John Bonczyk, in Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), on Nov. 13th, 1944, having reached the age of 83 years, 10 months and 7 days. The deceased was born in Posen, Poland, on Jan. 6, 1861. She was united in marriage there in 1882 to Frank Bonczyk. The family came to America in 1890 and resided in St. Louis, Mo. For eight years before coming to Thorp to locate on a farm in the Town of Withee. Mr. Bonczyk died in 1898 and her oldest son Mike passed away in 1918. Mrs. Bonczyk lived and operated the farm in the Town of Withee with her children, and in 1937 she moved to reside with her son John in Longwood. Funeral services were conducted from the Thorp funeral Home to St. Hedwig’s Church at 9:30 Thursday morning, Nov. 16th, Rev. F. Piekarski officiating, and interment following in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were, John Papierniak, Jos. Moczarny, Ig. Przybylski, John Zawadzki, Frank Burzynski and Adam Wojt. |
