Simek, 78, who died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harold Gault, 1036 S. Seventh Ave., were held Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. The Rev. George Nelson officiated, and burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery. Mr. Simek was born Jan. 18, 1889, in Chicago, Ill. On May 11, 1913, in Chicago, he married Mary Storek. They moved to Neillsville in 1928 where he worked as an interior and exterior decorator until his retirement in 1960. He had been living in Wausau for the past four months. Mr. Simek was a member of the Holy Name Society at the church in Neillsville. Survivors, besides his wife and daughter, include a son, William, Neillsville; two brothers, Method and Cyril, both of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Ruda and Mrs. Frank Lehner, Chicago, Ill; and three grandchildren. |
