Huber, Alice E. #2 (26 APR 1919 – 14 APR 2008)

Alice E. Huber, 88, Spencer, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Abbotsford. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Maurina-Shilling Funeral Home, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose officiated. Burial followed in the West Spencer Cemetery, town of Sherman, Clark County.

Alice E. Walti was born April 26, 1919, in Dodgeville, to Frank and Emma (nee Serch) Walti. She was united in marriage to Theodore O. “Ted” Huber on June 18, 1938, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, McMillan. She was a homemaker her entire life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and playing cards and games with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the loves of her life.

Survivors include her two sons, Dennis (Linda) Huber, Chetek; Richard (Mary Ann) Huber, Madison; three grandchildren, Scott (Cathy) Huber, Wausau; Steven (Michelle) Huber, Wausau; and Julie (Allen) Mueller, Andover, Minn. She is further survived by six great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Mueller, Sara Zachariah, Ryan, Amanda and Ava Huber; a step-grandchild Kacy (Andy) McRae; a step-great-grandchild, Amber Hrobsky; two step-great-great-grandchildren, Draeven and Dezaray; a sister, Violet Koenig, Spooner; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, on Feb. 7, 2008, her parents, and one brother.

Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid.

The Maurina/Shilling Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
