Dylan James DeCaire, 17, Dorchester entered eternal life after April 6, 2008 doing what he loved to do.

Dylan was born January 24, 1991 to Robert and Lisa (Bergerson) DeCaire, Jr. in Medford. He attended grade school in Dorchester then later at Colby Middle School. Dylan was currently a junior in the 11th grade at Colby High School.

He was employed part time at Kramer’s County Market as a cashier. When Dylan was not at school or working, he loved his football and basketball almost as much as he loved his hunting and fishing. Nothing was more important than spending time with his family and his friends.

Dylan is survived by his mother; Lisa, Dorchester and father; Robert Jr., Owen; one sister, Karisa, Dorchester; and two brothers, Joel, Dorchester and Brandon, Wind Lake.

He is further survived by his maternal grandparents, Bonnie (Ray) Hill, and James (Carol) Bergerson, both of L’Anse, MI.; and his paternal grandparents, Robert (Carol) DeCaire, Sr., Owen; and his great-grandparents, Matt (Rose) Toyras, L’Anse, MI. Dylan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Rev. John Gualbert will preside. Kathleen Slipek will be the organist for services. Friends may call from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church in Colby and Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Private burial services will take place at a later time.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with all arrangements.
