HELEN LORRAINE LESZEWSKI

Helen Lorraine Leszewski, 79, of Eau Claire, formerly of Thorp, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Oakwood Villa in Altoona.

Helen was born on June 20, 1928 to Lester and Lois (Dissmore) Stockwell in Anacortes, Washington. She married John James Leszewski, of Thorp, Wisconsin on July 10, 1947. John died on January 18, 2002. Helen worked as a dietary aide at Midway Hospital in St. Paul for many years.

She is survived by her three daughters: Eleanor of Poland, Arlene of Missouri, and Julia of Stanley, WI; one son, Stanley, of Owen, WI; and three grandchildren: Ami, Tori and Jett; and one brother, Wilbur (Myrtle) Stockwell of Pittsville, WI.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, James.

Services for Helen were at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI with Terry Ault and Perry Pearson officiating. Burial was at E. Thorp Cemetery in the Township of Withee in Clark County at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Oakwood Villa and Partnership for their care and also to any who visited and brightened her day.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2427 N. Hillcrest Pkwy., Altoona, WI 54720.

Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
